Wow, did I really do that?

Saturday, February 09, 2013

So, I am working on getting certified to work at the local Headstart office here in town. One of the requirements is that I have to be tested for TB and be up to date on immunizations. The other day when I was due to go, my daughter who used the car that day wasn't home. So, guess what I did? I walked there!! Did I really do that? I can't believe that I did! A year ago, there was NO way that I would walk anywhere except to the car and back into my house. This year, I walked to the public health nurse, was tested for TB, got Hepatitis A&B, and the tDap shots.

It feels great to know that I am capable of doing that now and more than that - that I am willing to!

Have any of you done something lately that you wouldn't have been willing to do before you started living a healthier lifestyle? Tell me about it! I love hearing success stories!

Good job! I now do our department errands and postings on campus instead of giving them to my students. It feels great get away from my desk.

Great job. My 'did I really do it' was after helping my husband clear the driveway and walk way - climbed (and crawled) to the top of our neighborhood pile of snow left by the plow.. Yes the neighbors were laughing with me, but they sure joined in the fun after I reached the top.
