This Turtle Truly Needs to Get Serious about Her Jumpstart

Well I joined a February Jumpstart team in hopes that it would get me started on getting back on track. Unfortunately I've yet to put the jumper cables to my battery. LOL I have started reading the book which is "Biggest Loser 30 Day Jumpstart" I guess I have to start somewhere. What has held me back is myself. First I was very sick at beginning of challenge, but now I am just making excuses it seems.

I'm the one stuck at a standstill. It's up to me to get moving. I really need to get some healthy emoticon in the apt and come up with a plan that is reasonable for me. Also need to get some emoticon emoticon emoticon in. Exercise is hard for me to get started on, but once I do I really enjoy it and feel the fulfillment of accomplishing the goal. Speaking of goals. I need to do some serious thinking about what goals to set.

I may be way behind, but I am NOT going to give up! I'll keep on going even if it is emoticon slow! emoticon

    I love that quote--thanks for sharing it! I plan to pass it on to my teams.

I was struck by what you said about exercise--that it's hard for you to decide to do it, but once you do, you enjoy it & like the feeling of accomplishment. That could be an important key for you. Each morning before getting up, think about that internal experience of pride and happiness, of strength and accomplishment, and remind yourself you deserve to feel that today, and plan what you will do to make it happen. At night, savor the experience of accomplishing your goal and how it felt. Let yourself imagine doing it again tomorrow and how wonderful it will be.

You can do your planning & acknowledging at other times during the day as well. Compliment yourself often, plan little rewards for keeping your commitments to yourself, and share your successes with your 3Bs on our Success thread!
