) I don't feel so bad... But the last two weeks have been filled with disappointment, just because the scale won't move, or even go up (but then get back again at the weight I'm stuck in).
I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, I think most of the last three weeks I've stick to the formula that has helped me loose 39 pounds, and in the last week and a half, I've change my exercise and added more cardio, more minutes and more intensity... But the numbers just don't move.
I've read about plateau, and I know it comes and you should wait, be patient and keep working towards your goals, and eventually it will break... But let me tell you, it's an awful stage in the weight loss journey.
I'm trying to be positive and focus on my progress that's not weight related, and that makes me feel better, but sometimes, I get anxious and just want to weight my self to see if I'm finally loosing weight, and that kind of stress doesn't help me, so I'm working hard on just let the importance of numbers go...
My first step is to post my improvement in other areas:
- My cardiovascular health is improving, my heart rate monitor shows a lower resting heart rate, and when I work out, some activities that made the heart rate monitor's alarm scream like crazy a month ago, now just made my heart rate go to the upper level, but not the alarm.
-I think I'm still loosing inches, but since I want to lessen the numbers effect on me, I'm taking the advice of measure my self only once a month.
- My clothes definitely fit better, I have to think about buying new ones.
- I feel so much better and prouder about myself for being able to change my life
So, there it is... I'm officially in a plateau, but I won't let it beat me!
