February 9, 2013 CONSISTENCY BRINGS CHANGE

Want change? Be consistent. We can’t reach the goals and dreams we have if we aren’t consistent. If we want the right relationship with God, we have to be consistent. If we want change to happen in our lives where we are doing God’s will, we have to be consistent. Without consistency, we stay the same or we could go the wrong way. Let’s decide today where it is we want to go and be consistent until we get there. We should be consistent with our time. We should be consistent with God. A day can make a difference when we focus on what it is God wants us to do and do it.

Psalm 119:5-6 “Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come to You today to begin a new day but to also ask You to help us to be consistent until we reach the goals You have for us. Help us to be consistent in our obedience to You. Help us to be consistent in our daily Bible reading. Help us to be consistent in our prayers. We know You have plans for us and we know we have to be consistent to reach the goals You have for us. Allow Your Holy Spirit to work through us so we are consistent for You today, tomorrow and forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

• An inconsistent presence brings about an inconsistent future.

• List some things you need to do consistently for God and begin doing them today.

• The change God has in mind for us can be reached through consistent obedience to Him.

• Our time with God should be consistent so that we know what He wants from us and we do it.
