The Blizzard named Nemo

Saturday, February 09, 2013

Yesterday it started snowing some light, fluffy snow. We doubted that it would really become much of a storm because it was beautiful. Our two deck chairs tell the story prestorm.

All night long, Ould Man Winter whooped it up with the wind and snow. Swirling snow hit our windows, and visablility was low.

Now it's 6 AM, and still snowing. Our deck chairs are convered with over 2 feet of snow, and it's still coming down. The blizzard Nemo will be remembered for a long time.

I just wonder when we will be able to get to the grill? We will be shoveling out once the sun comes up.

Yikes! Reminds me of a big storm we had in Ohio that dropped 24 inches over 2 days! It was awful to go through! Stay warm and safe! Thanks for sharing!

Nemo spelled backwards ... ?! well it sure did dump a lot of snow on Long Island! We're about two feet here on the north fork. I love the "hush" of it that quiets all the people in their homes. Even the squirrels are gone from the birdfeeder! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Cuddle up and enjoy the beauty of togetherness.
I miss the days of big snow falls and record blizzards.
How in the world did they cope so many years ago. Me thinks they were smarter and stronger.
Stay safe!
Stay warm!

    Dear Friends,
NH is under a state of emergency, and we are staying home until tomorrow. We have over 2 feet, and some places have 3 feet. We have a lot of shoveling ahead of us!
Monday should bring warm temps.

Thanks for the pictures! We are pretty well socked in down here on the Cape. Lots of wind. We lost power for 5 hours during the night, and it got rather nippy in the house (62 degrees). Now I have light, heat and a hot cup of coffee. I'll face the shoveling a bit later.
Bundle up!

The North and the South collide. We must get used to it. Old man winter is visiting many. Mother nature nature is cruel. But--- the Word of God abides forever. emoticon
