About 9 or 10 (I don't remember) our power went out.
It is about 10 degrees out, and there is a blizzard out there.
I was borderline panic.
Yes, my husband did call in to work, because he did not want to leave me home alone in this stuff. He works shift work and drives an employee shuttle bus. He was scheduled to be a supervisor and not drive, but our street is atrocious to maneuver in the snow. He also has made arrangements with a colleague to come and plow our driveway tomorrow after most of the storm is done.
We have at least 15 inches out there, and it is still coming down.
So when the electricity and heat came back on, my hubby asked me to make brownies. I did. Yes, I shared a couple. I will keep the rest for the kiddos when they come by this week. It was an anti-stress storm busting snack. I can't even remember when I last made brownies.
I have been curled up with my blanket, and cat. Now I plan to get some sleep, and pray the power stays on not only for us, but for our neighbors and community. It is a bitter time of year for a power outage.
Praying through the night.
