So after a two week stretch of all-healthy, all-the-time my husband and I opted for a night of Chinese Take Out in celebration of the coming Blizzard.
We are moving houses so we are spending the weekend packing and moving boxes (which burns plenty of calories, YAY). What I love about SparkPeople is that it allows me to CONSCIOUSLY decide to eat something I want and Plan for it. Despite my enjoyment of a .5 cup of chicken and broccoli, .5 cup of fried rice, an egg roll and 3 crab Rangoons (yes I hurt a little after lol) I was STILL in my calorie count for the entire day. Planning for that dinner by making careful choices during the day and then controlling Portions is not something I would have ever done before. It felt good to be in Control of my eating and not just mindlessly shoving something in my face. (it seems the days of nursing babies while eating animal crackers must Truly be behind me LOL).
I feel a little bit abused tonight after my gluttony and decided I should have just stuck to One crab Rangoon or forgotten the egg roll- my belly is not used to such food these days LOL. But it was a Little nice to just forget about cooking, consequences, and calories for one meal....
In the same token, I am already smiling and excited to get back to planning my weekly meal menu tomorrow morning and seeing where the Scale takes me next! Almost time to start conditioning for that European hike!!
