70 Days of ME day 60

Friday, February 08, 2013

Wow, so it's really crazy to think that there are only 10 days left to this challenge! It has been an interesting thing for me to do, but it has been an incredible thing for me to do as well. I have seen my confidence in myself grow so much during this time and I have found myself actually looking in the mirror and seeing a beautiful person staring back at me. Well today has been a good day. I woke up at 6:35 to a text telling me to stay home today because we got so much snow the roads were bad. So, I did just that. I went back to sleep and had the most amazing dream. I dreamt that my friend Aimee somehow got me to the Philippines for a surprise. Then once we were there, she had already contacted some of my Filipino friends to give us a ride from the airport so we walked around the corner and my friend Khrisi was standing there. I was so excited that I started crying...literally. I woke up with a wet face from crying. It was one of the coolest dreams ever. After I finally got up, I curled up on the couch for a bit to wake up before taking my shower. Now, I know this next part may be a bit much, but I figure most of you would understand. So, I wear contacts and I tend to have problems with eyelashes getting underneath them, all the time. Especially when I'm about to get in the shower it Well, whenever this would happen, if I was already undressed, I would hold my shirt up to cover me because I didn't want to see myself naked. I mean, I'm the girl who wouldn't ever look down in the shower cause I didn't want to see all my fat. Now I'm not saying I do that now, but I have noticed that, I am not repulsed by how I look naked. Does that make sense? Anyways, it was just a small thought from the day. Continuing on...after my shower I decided it was so cold that I would relax on the couch some more before working out. I know, that makes. O sense, but I had a snow day so that meant be lazy. But, I had to go get the garbage cans because someone had already hi them and broken our recycling bin. So as I looked outside thinking about how much I didn't want to go out there, I decided to use it as my workout. My dad cleared the driveway before he went to work this morning, but it had still been snowing when he was doing it so the driveway still had a good 2 inches on it. So I bundled up, grabbed a shovel and shoveled the driveway. It took me at least an hour, but I did it and it wasn't too bad. My blue jeans were a bit wet by the time I was done so I threw them in the dryer for a but, but other than that, it wasn't too bad. But, since it was cold outside, I curled up on the couch with a cup of hot tea and that helped warm me up. :) Tonight I knew I had to babysit 6 kids, so I enjoyed a little more "rest" on the couch before leaving to babysit. And I am so thankful I did that because those 6 kids are a bit wild and "cray-cray" as they were calling each I had two 4 year olds, a 6 year old, two 8 year olds and a 9 or 10 year old. We tried on costume after costume, ran up and down the stairs, played duck-duck-goose, doctor (in which I had both a regular baby and a baby kitten), half watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, rolled on the floor and wrestled. My picture today is from babysitting tonight. I say this is what a real babysitter looks Someone who can actually play with the kids and not just watch them. And as much as I have always tried to play with the kids, I now have more energy to play with them longer and than I used to. Both my weight loss and this challenge have helped me learn that I AM GOOD ENOUGH! And so are you!

Nice blog post! No snow down here in Florida but our leaves fall all year long so I'm constantly having to rake...
