Tucked in and waiting for the storm!

Friday, February 08, 2013

Stayed home from work today in anticipation of the storm. It snowed this morning - but it was light, fluffy snow - easy to take care of. Walked down to the hospital first thing to have blood taken. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday to go over my cholesterol readings. Then I went to the dump, because there's no way I'd ever think about going tomorrow. Stopped in at the bank and the post office too. Got a call from my dentist saying I could come in an hour early for my cleaning. (It's my two weeks of doctor appointments!) That took a little longer than I figured -- my dentist is a friend of mine and she likes to chat. Then I came home and settled in to wait for the storm! It's about 10 p.m. and it's just started to snow lightly. I can hear the wind picking up, so I guess it's on its way.

Hope you are in for the next day or two from what I see on the news reports. My sister is in Boston and she was dreading the upcoming storm. Can't tell how much we will get or when, but my little town seems to fall right in the primary storm zone they are talking about. One storm starting later today and moving through the night and then the bigger of the two moving in around 5pm Sunday and going through Monday morning dropping about 8-10 inches. Wonder if I will be able to make my physical therapy appt Monday afternoon - 20 miles south of here and closer to the metro area. I hate not being able to exercise - school closed over weekend and possibly Monday for weather!!!! emoticon Enough snow!!!

We have had light snow all day but late this afternoon it had stopped around 9.30 pm there were some strong gusts. I have not bothered to look out lately we are ready for it and if it comes we are ready.
If it does not come that is good and we were still smart to be ready for it.

I am warm and cozy by the wood stove. Generator is in place, I have a couple of good books . . . now if only I don't have to go to work tomorrow! I am not planning on it, but it will not be official until the call is made tomorrow morning. I am hoping to stay in tomorrow, and cleanup Sunday in the sunshine! emoticon

Stay warm. I like a day of being snowed in -- I'm either super productive or super relaxed, but either one is good.
