I need HELP!!!! PLEASE!

It's been so long since i've logged in spark... and so much has happened ever since my last log in. I've lost weight, and then gained it right back. At this point it just seems so hard for me to get my focus back on track. Seems like I either get the eating right or just the workout, but never both. So I either stay on the same weight or gain more. It's becoming frustrating, but I've decided to come back to spark people, it helped me out so much before and i have a faith it will again. i can surely use all the help i can get you guys!

    The big loss followed by the big gain is something most of us can relate to...you are not alone with that one. But just remember you have had success before you can do it again. One step at a time and consistency not perfection (took me alot of yoyoing before I worked out that one:))

Also you have made one big success already..you are doing something about it just by being here emoticon

    I can so relate to everything you wrote! I regained over 90 pounds and felt so hopeless because I just couldn't get back on track. Then I found SP. This is what I did to get started again.
I started by tracking my food intake but not trying to limit it if I didn't feel like it.
I started back to the gym, even though it was hard to go back after the weight gain. I went on the treadmill at least 3 times a week. After a month, I had gained weight, but had more energy.
After 1 month of seeing the weight gain and seeing how many calories I was consuming, I decided to tackle my eating. I went on a 3 healthy meals and 2 healthy snacks a day food plan, again not looking at calories, but I found that because it was healthy food, my daily calorie count was way less. I then increased my walking and treadmill time. After that I started concentrating on staying in my calorie range.

If I had tried to do everything at once, I am sure I would have failed. By starting with one aspect at a time, it made me feel successful right from the start and gave me momentum to continue. And now I am losing weight and feeling hopeful again. I've been reaching out to SP members a lot also, which really helps.

You CAN do this. You have done it before so you know that it is possible. I so understand how you are feeling! But don't let those feelings stop you from trying. Just take one step, one day at a time, and know that there are so many people rooting for you!

    Welcome back! Now that I am actually following the recommendations I am doing great. I highly recommend SparkCoach. It is keeping me accountable.

    Yes, start out slow! Why not set weekly challenges for yourself. For example, start with tracking the food through Sparkpeople along with a 10-minute workout! You did it before, you can do it again!

    emoticon back. As SUPERSAY said, you just need to take it one day at a time. Set mini goals from day to day and use the trackers as much as possible. With me, I got the exercise right first and then the eating right happened - I mean is still happening cos not all days are perfect. emoticon . You just have to emoticon and just remember if you fall, don't stay there, just get right back up again and keep going!! Keep on sparking! emoticon

    Baby steps are better then no steps. I usually get my eating under control and then start adding in little workouts here and there which eventually increase.

    emoticon just pick one thing at a time- baby steps- either track you or food or do some exercise- do that one thing for 2 weeks then start another small change. It will be worth it. emoticon
