Pretty Good Day

Friday, February 08, 2013

Didn't really do much, but that's OK with me. My fancy new TV came but it's over in the house waiting for someone to bring it over and up all those stairs. I had assumed it would be brought inside but not set up, but that was not the case. Hopefully it will reside in its rightful home tomorrow and even get set up so I can actually watch it. I'm hoping there will be no problem with the wireless stuff so I can get Netflix and everything. I've been paying for the Netflix at the house for several years and it will be nice to finally be able to have it over here. I'll need to familiarize myself with all the bells and whistles.

Alison and John are on a school search for Jason, since it seems the middle school he'll go to after his current school is problematic bully-wise. It's happening to one of Alison's friend's kid who is a lot like Jason (read: really smart and kinda geeky). It seems Jason, in the 4th grade, is testing at a 9th grade level in math. Pretty obvious that he needs more stimulation. The math and science magnet school is full, so it will probably be a private school unless Alison can talk them into taking him this year. There are no openings for next year. None of these schools is in a convenient location, and I will not be schlepping him to Raleigh in rush hour, though I might be talked into Apex once in awhile, where the private school is.

Ate rather less than I expected today and was pretty much still on protocol. I figure I'll be off by Sunday morning if I do the 72 hours and not the 3 whole days. Complicated, but it actually is different. I think the increase in protein is working well for me. If I do another round, I may just start out with more protein and see if I can still lose.

Hoping everyone in the path of this megastorm is safe and warm and doesn't lose poser or have any damage. My thoughts are with you!

I am sorry they have to find a different school for your Jason! Oh my, it just makes me angry and sad when I see and hear of the extent of bullying . . . just pathetic.

HUGS and wishing them good luck.

We are taking kids that hve been expelled from 3 area
schools and now we are having bullying problems ourselves.
That is not good for our school's reputation. My cousin has
her daughter at a private church school where her father is
the priest there and does religious instruction and guess what?
Her daughter is having bullying issues in Grade 2 already. What
is it with kids today? Linda, I hope they find a good school for
your grandson.

I think it is worth putting someone in a private or magnet school. Bullying is horrible. Very often it is directed at the smart kids.

Hope you get your new tv set up.

Good job of eating healthy.

My son is wanting a new T.V. too. We may get his old one. LOL.

I hope they look for a school with zero tolerance on bullying. Here most of them are now.

I really need to increase my protein when I get better.
