Patrick, my 14 year old, is really pushing me to start exercising again. I've told him he can be my coach. This is good, since he is trying to get in shape for track. I routinely find him doing wall sits or other exercises. With his encouragement, I have successfully exercised for three days straight.
Wed: I walked around the high school during one son's basketball practice. I ended up walking for 35 minutes. I felt it in my muscles, but it really didn't get my heart rate up.
Thurs: I walked and jogged around the high school during another son's basketball practice: walked 10 min, jogged 10min, walked 5min, jogged 10min, walked 5min, jogged 10 min, walked 10 min. I felt this more, and was happy with the increased heart rate.
Today: I did the elliptical for 30 min. I ran out of time. All of Stevie's friends came over at 12noon for a sleep over. His birthday was last month, but with all of us sick, we haven't been able to have his party until now. I have all these 11 year old boys over here now. They are behaving, but it's a little hard to keep them occupied for so long.
Hopefully I can continue to work out on a daily basis, or almost a daily basis. My schedule is crazy with work and kids. I may not blog too much, but I'm still trying to get back in shape.
