The challenge is still going great. I remember the first time I did it, the first week was SO HARD. This time? A breeze. I remember being so overwhelmed by the things I COULDN'T eat and feeling like it was super hard. Having been mostly Paleo for a year and half has made it so much easier. I haven't really had any cravings or temptations for sugar, which is weird because that is what gets me EVERY TIME I try to do a month with no sugar on my own. EVERY TIME. I often take the girl I nanny for to a coffeeshop to buy a snack on her way to gymnastics practice each afternoon. Usually the cookies and baked goods are super tempting and I often give in. I stood there staring at them yesterday and was completely fine with the fact I wasn't going to buy anything. I really hope it sticks.
Logging my info on our google doc several times a day and checking out other people's pages, along with the Facebook group and just texting my friends about things, has been so great. Just the thing that has been missing every time I try to do this on my own. It's really been motivating to stick to my plan. I've also done great with meal prep. My fridge is FULL of stuff to eat right now. I'm actually a little sad I don't have to cook for a few days because I have so much food that needs to be eaten!
Anyway, yesterday I PRed my power snatch, which was exciting (83#). It wasn't the most graceful power snatch I've ever done, but hey, I'll take it! We also did 3 rounds of 1-2-3-4 reps of front squats with 60 seconds rest between. You were supposed to do all 3 rounds at the same weight, but I dropped from 113 to 103 after the first round because I was having trouble keeping my elbows up. Then, we ran out of time for the third set, oops!
Today I'm doing Jackie for the first time, and tomorrow I'm headed to Oly class. I've never done Jackie before, so here's to an automatic PR! Ha!
