During this week of love, people will embark on dates. Mostly with love interests, but not necessarily so. Sometimes we need other kinds of dates. A date with a parent or sibling, a date with a distant friend to reconnect, or a date with ourselves to find peace. (soft music plays and you think lovely thoughts).
Today, I had a date with the GYM
! (music comes to a screeching halt) Yes, it was a real date and I enjoyed it. Oh how I'd missed the gym. You see, it's pretty cold out and I don't do cold
. So besides walking a few days per week, I've kept my workouts inside the comfort of my warm house.
The gym treats me well, is always there when I need it, and frankly I'd missed our chemistry. It'd been two whole weeks since we'd last seen each other and well...that's just too long. I'd started feeling like I was being unfaithful and I had to make it right. That hour and a half today was time well spent in nurturing our relationship. And boy, did we have some pretty vigorous activity during that time! I loved getting all worked up and sweaty. You know how it goes
