First craving in over a month....

Well, it finally happened. I had a craving...and for a grilled cheese and ham sammy.
Of course it has to be the way my Mom made them.
Butter on either side and grilled in the frying pan.
It wasn't a major crave...and I only had one. But it did
put me behind in my calorie count on my journal for today
and left me with a lot fewer calories for dinner.
But, you know, I don't really feel to bad about it....because
I chose it, planned it and also used 12 grain bread...which I 'luhv'.
And now I am satisfied. Actually, it feels rather heavy in my tummy.
I have been real good these past few days, cutting down on my I quess all in all, it's not too bad.
Broccoli and brussels sprouts coming up for dinner!

I felt the need to compensate for my straying a little at lunch, so I just
got back from a really hard walk...uphill all the way home. I feel good. emoticon

    I made a choice to eat 2 pvm energy bars today to try and boost my energy levels and all I got out the deal was heart burn. emoticon

    It's great that you are aware and that you made choices - the choice to have it but to compensate with less calories and more exercises later in the day. Well done!!!

    That isn't that bad and you made up for it with a walk. My mom is an awesome cook and sometimes I just all of a sudden get a craving for different things she used to make me as a child. They are normally unhealthy meals, but oh they take me back to a carefree childhood. The key is to stop yourself at a proper portion.

    Good job. When you plan for something, you can compensate for it in your other meals for the day.

    I know how you feel. It's been three weeks since I have had a slice of pizza and I am dying for some! I planned my calories to be able to have it for dinner tonight. Can't wait!

    You were okay having your 'sammy', Lyn. You haven't gone on a huge binge or anything, just gave in on something that's not bad for you.
You'll see, your calories will tally okay tonight!

    Remember to allow yourself a little leeway for an earned day. Sometimes the body will need that few extra 50 calories to keep from going into starvation mode.
