So I'm starting to rotate TF/CLX and P90X now until vacation and probably after. I'm really excited to do some P90X workouts. I have done them before but I never had a pullup bar so I never felt like I was doing the whole workout. BUT now I have a workhorse floor pullup bar which is awesome! I think doing some P90X workouts will help me see more results b/c it's been a while since I've done that. The TF/CLX is going to get me back in shape and then P90X will help shape the shape..lol.
Basically the plan for the year is start with the easier programs like TF/CLX and then end with the harder ones like Asylum 1 and 2. I know I couldn't do them now but hopefully by the end of the year I can!
So here is the schedule for P90X week 1
Sunday- Chest/Back and Extreme Abs- DONE
Monday- Did brazil butt lift Bum Bum workout. I decided I need to work on my butt..lol.
Tuesday- Shoulders/Arms and Ab Burner- DONE
Wednesday- Yoga
Thursday- Legs/Back and Abs 10
Friday- Combat 60
Yes I added in some TF and Combat for cardio because I'm not a fan of Plyo or Kenpo. And for Yoga I will either do Jillian Michaels or Shiva Rae! I can't do 90 minutes of yoga..I can barely do 10 minutes but I'm going to try my hardest!
**update 2/13** I've really enjoyed P90X this week which made me start thinking about P90X vs. Chalean Extreme. They are both awesome programs but I almost think P90X suits me better because of it's faster pace. I love the CLX workouts but the "last 3 super slow reps" are kind of boring and don't really give me great results. But it could just be that I haven't done any other strength training program besides CLX in like a year and 1/2 so my body might just be used to it. That is why I have lost like 4 lbs already doing P90X and I can see visible results! But I'm going to keep rotating TF/CLX hyrbid & P90X because I think they both have their pros and cons.
I watched an Asylum workout last night..Speed and Agility and Sean T is one crazy man! I could already do some of the moves but not all by any means. It was a good workout though and even when I start it I will be at level 1 and I figure if I make it to even a level 3 then I will be better than what I started! And that is the point right?!? And I think by the time I finish P90X I will be at a higher level of fitness than I am now. Or at least I can hope :)
