I went to the Dr this morning. Got on the scale 278.6 or was it .4? Either way, who cares?! I weigh under 280! I was VERY happy. Then Dr comes in and reads therapist's note and says so-and-so gave you an A+. He NEVER gives anyone an A for therapy. Ever. You really must have worked hard.

I can bend to 120 when I'm warmed up, I can straighten to 0, AND I LOST 5 POUNDS! Yes, I have been working hard. Okay, not as hard as I COULD have on my food, but pretty dang hard on the rehab! And I lost FIVE pounds! In two weeks!

And I can start driving as much as I feel able. And I can work in the pool and on limited machines-within reason. (Yeah, that's going to be a problem.) So, after my appointment today, I went to the Y and worked in the pool...for an hour and a half. That's within reason, right? Um, maybe not. Now that I'm home and resting, my knees are protesting. I'm trying to ignore them. I think they are probably going to win though. Tylenol at the least. And most likely a nap as well.

And Monday I plan to start back to my 3 day a week class schedule. Two of the other people were there today, but no one else showed up. We just mostly walked laps for about a half hour. The rest of the time I was working alone.

Now, as long as the weather cooperates, I'm all set.

And I am planning to make myself a pastry this weekend for breakfasts. I will track it, and it will be fine. I'm going to be burning calories, so I need to put enough in anyway. As long as I keep my portions within reason, its good. I want to work the recipe out before bake sales for school, no one else makes kringles, so I am pretty sure they will sell well. I just need to make sure I can make them well first.

And I did have a protein bar before I went to the pool and lunch when I got home. So I am starting to get back on track.

    I think you are doing a GREAT job! Please don't say things like "not as hard as I COULD have." Please focus on how GREAT you're doing. All progress is good progress!!

I have been overwhelmed lately with all kinds of things, hence, not being online much at all. Will blog about it soon, just wanted to check up on how you were doing, and I'm glad to see you are doing so well.

Congrats on the weight loss too! emoticon Unfortunately, I gained weight, but it's not the end of the world, I'm still trying to fully heal. I have missed the encouragement of your blogs and emails, so I need to get back online as soon as I can, this weekend, I hope! emoticon

Isn't it wonderful to get to drive again! And to be done with therapy (other than on your own)! I only finished my therapy the first of February, but I had it extended to correct bad habits that intensify my back problems.
