Losing more than weight

Friday, February 08, 2013

My daughter moved out 2 months ago. Only 16, but it was time for her to leave the nest. I'm going through a change of where my time is spent and losing weight is becoming one of the ways I fill my time. I'm not really sure what the balance is between spirituality and weight loss. I know I haven't yet found it though.

Weight loss aside, a deeper spiritual connection to God is the undeniable solution to any problems you may have. They may not be solved in the exact way that you envision, and things may seem to get worse at times. However, there is a joy with God that is unparalleled. With Him, there's peace, patience, understanding, and unspeakable joy. THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. Follow Him first and foremost, and everything else will fall into place as HE sees fit.

I went through one of the toughest points in my life. I couldn't eat or sleep. I was always angry or sad. I looked for so many solutions in so many places. Tried to fix things myself, or look to others for answers. Since I've found and made Him my best friend, I have the weirdest joy in my heart at all times. Like, I know for a fact that I can never feel that hopeless again. It really is a wonderful place to be in. I will definitely keep you in prayer, and I do hope that you reach whatever goals you have set for yourself! emoticon
