The blog I forgot to write

Friday, February 08, 2013

I kept looking at the calendar for a number of things: a custody meeting for my grandson, what days I work, doctor appointments, date night with my hubby, and remembering my Sparkversary.

Guess what I forgot?
Silly me!
My Sparkversary
was two days ago.
The day I wrote about prayer.

So happy belated Sparkversary to me.
Although I regained my weight after surgery, I have lost the weight I had recently gained from the prednisone, and that is a major boost to me. I am still in the game, although I have not made the progress I wanted. I AM still here, and blogging, and logging (intermittently.)

Last night on date night, my hubby and I had a good night. First we got haircuts and decided the line at the grocery store was too much to manage. Then my hubby and I split our supper at Bobby Flay's - we split a coffee shake, sweet potato fries and a burger. Then we went to hear Dia Frampton sing and her voice is beautiful. I also discovered a favorite local author was in attendance later, Daniel Waters. After the concert, we braved the grocery store, which was a little more bare with all the storm shoppers, but we still could get what we needed, although my husband had to find a substitute for his half and half, and there were no bananas.

It has since begun to snow. I did not go to work today. My husband is scheduled to work this evening, so I will be alone through the worst of it. So glad to have the warmth of the date night fun to think about, and praying for his safety, and for those that have to work in nasty weather - plow drivers, safety workers, hospital and medical personnel, police, fire, emergency technicians.

I also did ten minutes of my basic physical therapy exercise this morning, first since last week when I suffered a slight setback. One baby step at a time.

    Happy, happy emoticon Sparkversary!!
What does your husband do that he has to go out in that storm for? Surely most businesses wouldn't expect their employees to go out in it? Who is going to be shopping at anything except grocery stores for essentials?? Maybe he should call in sick..
So glad you had a wonderful date night and got to hear a fantastic singer!
If you have time to blog every day, you have time to log, I am just saying. Its faithfully tracking my food that keeps me maintaining no matter what adversity I am facing. I track after each meal and snack, so that by supper, I know how many calories I have left, no excuses! Its worth the hassle!!
Will be thinking of you and your poor hubby with that awful storm..
