i guess i forgot i can lose weight...

without counting carbs.
i made the decision last friday to stop counting carbs for a little while.
i began july 29th and lost 30lbs pretty effortlessly.
okay, not exactly true.

but anyways, i was going over the carbs and it was making me miserable.
when i was on plan, that is, when i wasnt gone or going out to dinner, etc. the carbs were counted.
that is a long time to stay under 30 grams.
especially as a vegetarian.

so, with much trepidation, i went back to counting just calories. thinking, give myself a break.
stop obsessing over carbs and just maintain the weight.

im down to 152.2 today which is pretty awesome.
i guess ive been thinking all this time, have to be on a diet to lose weight.
i forgot that i lost 120lbs just counting calories.

so, ive been having carbs.
bread. yay bread.
chicken. yay fake chicken.
potatoes. do you know how much ive missed baked potatoes?
i didnt until i had one and almost passed out.

you know whats even funnier about this whole thing?
i figured once i gave myself permission to go off low carb, id go crazy.
but i havent.
highest calorie day so far has been 1700 something, which on low carb is unheard of for me. i was ranging 500-1300 calories. usually ending up around 1100.
so, in the grand scheme of things, 1700 is fine. but for me, its a high number.

i also thought id be wanting more processed foods. more ....sugarladen stuff.
i havent had chocolate.
that too is unheard of for me.
even on low carb, i always would have a serving or two of sugar free chocolate.

i cant remember the last time i had chocolate.
i have it in the house. i have lower carb chocolate in the house as well as hot cocoa, hershey kisses, m&ms.. etc.
doesnt even phase me.

i am opting for food.
baked potato for dinner and lunch.
i dont know why when i go off low carb cereal seems to be what i desperately want. i never eat cereal. but thats been my snack at nite.

so, thats where i am.
less than 40 days till the wedding.

the plan is to stay counting calories until about 2 weeks before we leave and then go back low carb. i want to feel my best, especially since we will be gone from the house 4 days before we even get married, so that will not be low carb.

thats about it.

limited strength training this week.
been a rough week. just done body weight strength training for abs.
today i hope to get in some pushups but we'll see.

    Sometimes simply changing up the eating plan for a short time will give crazy good results, I've done that a few times since joining Spark. That's about the time I switched from low-carb to Spark's recommended meal list. Then I did the meal plans on my own, once I hoped I had a handle on it.

    On cereal: Any particular kind? I'm wondering if that's a fibre deficiency popping up.

    Down to 34 days... I hope you're excited!! :-D
