I have been struggling with the last 10 lbs of a 30 lb weight-loss program. I took a break from my program over the holidays, keeping my nutrition in check and returned to sparkpeople with only an additional 5 lb gain in weight. I'm reigniting my spark for the final 10 lbs, anticipating the dreaded plateau, which I have experienced before and have overcome but have never really understood. I also have found with age, these plateaus become frustrating, even depressing, reminding me that my youthful metabolism has faded and age is slowing me up in achieving my goal. I'm making this commitment to take the 4-week plateau program and SP coach assistance, not just to break down the preverbal wall, but to understand my relationship with my fitness, health, body and food as I achieve my year-long goal.
