I am trying to get my day - not just any day - Friday started right and my internet is giving me problems. My browser is usually Firefox but for some reason it is just moving tooooo slow. So I went to internet explorer and the page is just wild, print all over the place. But I am preserving so I can keep my routine.

I'm doing goood......Let us Pray emoticon . Based on my food plan today, I will go over so I've got to do some adjustments - reduce some lunch and change dinner plans.

The weather is lovely but it's beginning to get warmer. The days are beginning to get longer. I selected a running route that is near work and in a major urban part of the city. This is at around 5 - 5:30 p.m. and people are getting off from work, there is traffic. And where I live, it is considered appropriate to stare. So people in their cars stare at pedestrians. I got started on the run and then thought, "boy you must have some confidence running in this very public area". People shout things at you "what you trying to lose?" or "Pick it up!" and even more lewd things - so it's not for the faint of heart. But I was determined to do it and after a few kinder geers this time and a chat with two old running buddies, I completed the route.

I think I am gaining confidence cos last year this time, it would have been no way I'd run in that environment. We'll see if I do it again in 2 weeks time.

Have A Great Friday - I am soooo happy it's Friday.

I took a peek at your page...no way you weigh over 400 pounds! It must be something to run in the Bahamas! Warm all year round! It's pretty nice here in South Georgia. I do most of my fitness in my house but don't have trouble with the public when I go outside.

You'd be surprised. Sme of those people staring are really just thinking things like "I wish I could jog" or "if she can do it, maybe I can too".
Wen I was 40 pounds heavier, I would go to the gym and see 'thin' people and say to myself, 'wow, I would kill to have that body'. But then I would see someone who literally weighed hundreds of pounds, or the girl who walks on the treadmill despite her almost crippled body (not sure what she has, ALS maybe) and realized that some people might be looking at ME and saying "I would kill to have that body".

So run in public. Inspire someone.
