First Blog - First 5% Winter Challenge

There's always a first time in everything and this is my first blog and I feel excited!
The first time I joined sparkpeople I didn't make use of all the useful articles, videos, etc to achieve my goals and after a few months I quit. This is my second attempt to stay committed to my goals and thanks to all my sparkfriends I am focused on that.
I have been yo-yoing the last 18 years and I know this is really bad for my metabolism. I have tried diets that actually had amazing results but never lasted long. Emotional eating and lack of exercise since I work long hours in front of a pc, led me to regain all the weight I had lost. Not to mention my self confidence was on ground zero. I neglected myself and that affected my relationships and behaviour towards others. I found comfort in sweets and fatty food. I got depressed.
In 2012 my friend or better my "sister" and sparkfriend Elle showed me the way and was very passionate about Sparkpeople.com. She had already started her journey and seeing her looking great and glowing I got the spark. I hope I can make it, too. I admire her and she supports me all the time. I need to thank her from the bottom of my heart!
So here I am committed to my goals and ready for the 5% winter challenge!
In these 8 weeks I want to exercise daily (20-30 mins), eat lots of fruit and vegetables, eat 5 times a day every 3-4 hours, control my portions, lose 4 kilograms and do the best for my team in my first Challenge assignment!
