Among the many spoofs of Dos Equis' "Most Interesting Man in the World" is one where he says "I may not always go to the gym, but when I do, I tell Facebook."

Oh, well.
Wednesday, I took a day off. I felt good this Thursday morning, so I figured I'd do an easy 5K. I was feeling fine at the turn around point so I decided to make it a 10K. When I reached that turn around point I was still feeling fine so I decided to make it a half marathon. When I reached seven miles, I figured I'd better turn around because that first seven was a gradual down hill and I didn't know if I'd start feeling it on the uphill return. I reset my Garmin so I could compare the return trip to the trip out. I hadn't eaten before I left and at about mile twelve I started to feel some burn in my thighs but it was a good thing. I did the fourteen miles in 2:30:37 which would have shown up as a P.B. and longest continuous run if I hadn't reset the Garmin.

I really felt great when I got home, so when Judith said she was going for a walk, I went with her. We did three nineteen minute miles and that took care of any soreness in my quads.

Total running distance in the last seven days was over fifty-four miles, another record for me. We're supposed to have a big storm coming in the morning, so I may have a forced R&R period, but I really feel like doing Thursday's run again when I wake up.
