We are well prepared on our part for the storm. The trees are never ready.

Thursday, February 07, 2013

DH had some more blood work done it took all morning. My neighbour called to let the dog out so I went across to the house and "LUCY" was so forlorn I sat and stroked her and she laid her head on my lap so I really overstayed. Back home for lunch and then to the pharmacy to pick up DH medications and a few supplies like bananas. We use a dozen a week and I needed dish sponges I use and dispose of a lot of those, there are so many ways to use them.

Our Netflix did not arrive and I did not want to have nothing to watch for DH and I so I went to the library and found 2 we will enjoy.

Back home to make a crock pot of Chicken stew. We can heat that up on the camp stove if the power goes out. They are predicting 60 mph winds so with the trees it often happens.

I did not start dinner till 7 pm and after that I am Sparking. So little time so little Blog but we have to be well prepared for a big snow storm .

Thanks so much for all the nice comments on my last blog, I appreciate your wonderful support HUGS to all Pat in Maine.
I will try to catch you all tomorrow. Pat

Praying the storm is not as bad as they are saying.

I will be thinking of you and praying for the best.

We went to see Sis today. She is now in Rehab in St. Louis and doing awesome. She cried when we arrived. Bless her heart. Cheered up pretty fast and told me as I was leaving she intended to "walk out of there" when she is ready to come home. Go Sis!

Stay safe and stay warm.

Sunny

I'm relieved that you are well prepared but I hope it misses you.

I felt weak and sick today but decided I needed to make some good meals anyway for my family. I won't have to cook much tomorrow which is good. I have little appetite and force myself to eat.

I don't like storms. I am praying for your safety.

We got all of our supplies too, medical things from Walgreens earlier in week, at least if power goes out, we can just put our food in a snowbank..
We got a foot of snow and now it is sunny.. stopped snowing about noon.. 34 degrees tomorrow..

I hope you are okay there.. no heroics , stay warm and exercise indoors..

Pat, I hope this storm isn't as bad as they are saying. I've had the weather channel on and don't like what I'm hearing. We've had rain and it is slowing down now and I'm waiting for round 2 to start.

Stay safe and warm.

hugs....Mary Anne

Stay warm indoors during the storm. Sounds like you are well prepared. Just make sure flashlights are readily handy as well. Take your time on moving the snow that piles up. It can wait.

Take Care.

Glad you are ready for the storm. We're ready too--wood for the wood stove, batteries, water in buckets, etc. I'm doing the cook-ahead thing today too, roasting a small chicken, that we can eat tonight and the weekend. It's not a question of IF we will lose power, it is a question of WHEN...so we're ready! Keep in touch so we know how you're doing! emoticon
