The things we do for fun

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I took my early morning walk but missed seeing the sunrise due
to the light fog and clouds. The 30 minutes went quickly but I
was moving at a pretty fast pace to get back in out of the cold
wind. Coffee time then off to work. I really pushed through a
whole stack of things today. I kept DS busy with little side
trips out of the office.
MIL came at 4:45 and the 2 of them left shortly before 5:30.
At last, freedom was mine. I grabbed an old pair of gloves and
went to the office to start loading out boxes of old paperwork
that we no longer need to store. It was all to be burned last
summer but the burning ban took care of that idea. By the time
I was finished (30 minutes), I had my pickup box full from front
to back and side to side, even piling a few boxes for a partial
second layer.
Then I came home to change clothes and get to CPR class. That
lasted from 6:30 until 9:00. DS1 and GF surprised me with a
Big Mac so I would have something for supper. That was one
little item I had forgotten about. That does explain the rumbling
tummy. I opted to remove the bun, cut the meat up into bite
sized pieces and put it on top of a small bowl of salad greens.
I then sauteed 1/2 of a red pepper and 1/2 of an onion and
had a delicious, almost vegetarian, supper. For WISLNDR's
enjoyment, I drank my milk from a glass, used a napkin instead
of my sleeve and refrained from any rude noises. I am feeling
quite content right now.
And that, dear friends, summed up my day. I have met my goals
and am looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow. Thanks
for stopping by-hugs!

LOL on the rude noises and sleeve. Thanks for my laugh. Wow on the amount of paperwork to get rid off. Like you, the burn ban put a damper on me last fall also.

Hugs and have another great day tomorrow. I am using a treadmill. Our temps have been mean to me this year. OK, I am a wuss, but .....:)

Don't pass up opportunities to make rude noises without penalty! That is my mantra for today and thanks for starting my day with a smile. Your energy is an inspiration!
