Have you started your weight loss journey for reasons other than your own? I haven't been instructed by a doctor to lose the weight. My husband has never criticized my body and has told me he thinks I'm sexy no matter how I feel about myself. My friends have not asked me to join them in losing weight together, nor have then encouraged me to join a gym.
I'm doing this for my very own reasons. I'm the one who doesn't like the reflection in the mirror. I'm the one who cringes every time I know I'm going to have to step on the scale. I'm the one who squeezes into the one size too small jeans and then stand there and shake my head because "they don't fit". I'm the one who compares myself with many other women my age who are fit, and I'm not. I'm the one who reads the BMI and knows that I am classified as obese. That word scared me and actually help to set the wheels in motion to find something that would help me to motivate myself to thinness again.
So, the only reason I'm doing this is for ME. I know how it feels to be thin. I've been there several times. I know how good it feels. I know how good I feel! Becoming healthy is my main goal and by doing that, my weight will naturally drop off and I will be thin again. The difference this time, is that it will become a lifestyle, not a phase in my life, but a lifestyle.
