Day 11 : Hotel Interview

So eating the last few days or so have not been the greatest. Gotta turn that around. Yes, while I have been in range, there has been a lot of crappy snacking! Ugh!! I lost 2 pounds that first week, now, I'm hoping for just one this week.
So I had my interview with the hotel. I did a stage with their Banquet Chef. I was asked to prepare a halibut dish (for a tasting Friday), Minestrone, and Mushroom Bisque. Everything turned out great. My soups needed a touch more salt (surprise!), but they loved them, and my halibut. I did kinda a combo of a dish we do at the catering job. Sweet Citrus glazed Halibut (LLOZest/Honey) with black lentil/yellow and red tomato/braised leek salad (simple vingt), and a sundried tomato puree. Delicious! Makes me wish that I could eat fish! Maybe I should give it a try and hope for nothing to happen!! Anyway, so we chatted a bit. I think I've made my decision though. I'm just waiting to see what they have to offer me. I just think my decision will give me a better quality of life (aka, time with family). I should know by Monday.
Here's to hoping I can get out and walk the dog tomorrow!! They are calling for at least 4 inches of snow!!
