Can't shake this cold

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I haven't been feeling the greatest this week. I am getting whatever cold is floating around. I work with children on a daily basis so I am actually surprised I haven't caught anything else this school year. I just have been feeling like a swallowed some sandpaper. I told my boyfriend this morning when he was taking me to work that I felt like a garbage truck. I sounded like one too. AC-DC's Shook me all night long played on the way in and I joked that I didn't even have to make my voice sound like his, that it was doing that on it's own. haha. Some green tea this morning helped a bit but I still can't shake it. I slept for a good two hours last night before bed and still slept the night. Needless to say, I didn't get a workout in Wednesday night.

I tried the new Hiit Combat workout video that was posted on Tuesday. I loved it. I would have liked a bit more intense of a video but it was still a great workout. I did three rounds of it. Tonight, I did the latest Hiit Body video for 5 rounds. I don't have the equalizers so instead of the third move, I just did the ab punch move from the hiit combat the other night as it worked in a similar fashion.
I would like a set of equalizers but they are a lot of money and I don't have the money to drop on them right now.

I have been using an idea that I saw on some page related to bodyrock. I think it was their facebook page or Lisa-Marie's facebook, where a fan put a dollar in a container for each workout that she did and bought herself a set of equalizers. Now I like the idea of a dollar a workout. My goal is to use the money to update my wardrobe once I reach a healthier weight. i figure if I do 5 workouts a week on average that will give me about 20 bucks saved at the end of the month. I think I might put in a dollar for each pound lost once a month as well. Where I have a total of 60 pounds I want to shed, that might be good.
