The sugar monster still rages

Since January 3rd I've done really well with staying away from sugar. I've allowed myself 2 trips to Starbucks, and have only eaten fruit for sweet treats. Today I cleaned a friend's house, and before they left they told me to please take the box of Krispy Kreme from the fridge home with me. emoticon I should've just thrown them away!!! I took the box, and wouldnt ya kids didnt like the kind of doughnuts in the box...I should've just thrown them away!!! So I ate a doughnut. Then after dinner I cut out the part with cream of 5 doughnuts and ate that. Like I said...I should've just thrown them away emoticon BEFORE I had the chance to eat any. I threw the rest away. I ate a total of about 4 doughnuts...good thing I've increased my cardio!!!!!! Looking on the bright side...I've lost 15 pounds since January 3rd, and I learned something about myself today emoticon

    We learn from our obstacles so now you know what to do next time. I have a hard time throwing out food because I think of the people starving, but someone just gave me 2 jars of peanut butter and I saw a TV news about how the food banks really need peanut butter so I'm going to donate the two jars I got to the cause since while I eat peanut butter, it's not that often and I have a jar to eat of my own.

    emoticon I have the same problems. Stopped at dunkin donuts and bought 6 glazed donuts and 6 glazed chocolate.

    Congrats on the weight loss to date. Tomorrow is another day and there will be no more donuts in it

    We all learn best from the challenges we face. I had a similar situation. As long as you move forward and don't let it hold you back you will be fine. Keep up the good work. 15 pounds since January 2 is wonderful.
