Update on My Niece's Condition.

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Jennifer had her surgery today (finally). The doctors inserted an 8" rod and screws in her back. She has a very long recovery ahead, but today was the first step toward healing. She has the rod in her back and still healing 10 broken ribs. But with the surgery behind her (no pun intended), she will be more stabilized for transport and hopefully be able to return NY from NH for recuperation within a week or two.

Oh my.... I can completely identify & empathize with the 10 broken ribs. After a horrible accident in '82 one of my injuries was 6 broken ribs - snapped in half. The recovery road was SO long and hard. Painful too. Breathing hurt. I'll keep Jennifer in my thoughts & prayers. So glad they were finally to get her into surgery. emoticon
