33 days ago, my mother Beverly Troxell went into surgery at Bethesda North Hospital for removal of a large mass on her leg.
On February 1st 2013, we received some test results back from a pathology report that shows that she has been newly diagnosed with a form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
On February 7, 2013 we went to her first of many oncology appointments.
From that appointment we learned the following…
She will have 2 appointments coming up, one will be on February 8th, 2013 at 3:30pm to see the plastic surgeon.
One will be on February 13th at 10:15am to see the vascular surgeon.
Then on March 6th, 2013 she will be going to possibly Bethesda North Hospital to have a CT scan done and also to have a port installed.
After that date, they will set up appointments to start chemotherapy treatments.
During her chemotherapy treatments, she will receive 4 cycles of chemotherapy either once a week or every 2 weeks.
Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we endure this process
