MoTiVaTeD: Endless Possibilities

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Needless to say that my morning WI was a 2.4 gain. I was expecting more so I'm ok with this number.....not really!

For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to get over a sinus infection and it has taken a shot and 2 different antibiotics to help. I'm still not 100 % yet but I'm thinking a few more days I will be back to normal.

Yesterday I registered for my first 5k race that I'm going to RUN! I'm nervous and ExCiTeD all at the same time but I know that I will do fine. This is a fear that I've had for quite some time but I never thought that I would love running. Last year I conquer 2 other fears - 1. I’ve been wearing the black tight stop at the calf running pant (I always thought I was too BIG for them....ha LOOK at me now!) 2. Running outside on major streets (I use to hate it when people (guys) would honk at me. Now I just wave and keep it moving and use it as motivation.)

2013 is going to be my year I'm going to make a list of my fears and start conquering them one by one.

Day by Day, Pound by Pound!

You're an inspiration! I'm too chicken to run a 5k, at least not yet. Hope you do good in it. As for the sinus infection, I hope you feel better soon. Keep up the great work!!

    - Have you tried using a Netti Pot? I get sinus infections often and that always helps clear them out.

-Tip: Press "print screen" to take a photograph of your computer screen from your computer! Open up paint (or other drawing application) and press "ctrl-v" to paste. You can now save this image. Maybe you did that above but it's hard to tell with tiny images ;)

    - Sometimes when people honk at you they really are trying to provide motivation. One time we were on a real long cycling trip and a car drove past over and over again. Finally the car stopped about a block ahead of us. We were freaked out thinking they were angry at the cyclists. Instead, they gave us gatoraid and asked where we were going so loaded full of gear.

Best of luck on your journey! 5k is totally doable and it'll be good motivation to keep moving on days when you don't feel like it. Keep on, keep on, keep on, keep on movin' it (sounds better to music).
