Did you see that article from Coach Nicole about having an affair at the gym? I thought it was cute though I anticipated her going in another direction. For some reason, I thought she was going to talk about workout clothes! www.dailyspark.com/blog.
I guess that's because workout clothes have been on my mind lately...
Though I won't get into what I wear to the gym; let's just say they are on the lower-end of fitness wear (Target, outlets). I do wear "real" workout clothes, however, and not old T-shirts. My gym bag is getting older, and the water repellent stuff is flaking off and giving my workout gear dandruff.
I have gone into Lululemon, Lucy and other high-end fitness stores and tried on their products, never to purchase a thing. For some items, the prices seem crazy-expensive for what they are selling. For other items, though, the fit feels fantastic, I look good in the item, and I think, "OK, I get this." But my past commitment to working out (6-8 months here and there) never justified the expense.
I've now been working out for 8 continuous months, do not see an end in sight, and decided to splurge a little on a new gym bag. Instead of getting another Nike duffel bag, which worked just fine until this flaky dandruff problem, I bought something much cuter from Athleta. It hasn't come yet but I'm pretty excited. athleta.gap.com/browse/p
I'll be sure to update you all (even though my blog averages 1.5 readers, including me).
When I get to my year anniversary of going to the gym, I plan to buy myself a new pair of sneakers!
