The Fog

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Day 6 of eating clean and the fog has struck again. Despite having consumed almost 1,000 healthy, clean (and protein-packed!) calories over the last five hours, I honestly feel like I could lay my head down and pass out right here on my desk. I got eight hours of sleep last night and have had four cups of (black) coffee, I should not feel like this. I've read up a lot on other people's experiences, though, and apparently this is pretty common. I just wish I could nap.

One day at a time...

Eating clean is a future goal of mine and I'm impressed with your resolve. I don't have any real advice/insight regarding your "fog," but all I can say is listen to your body, be gentle with is as it learns to adapt to new types of foods, and keep fueling it right! I'm sure you'll reap the rewards in time and it will have been sooooo worth it! emoticon emoticon

I started clean eating on Jan 6th and have not had this experience. I currently consume between 1200-1500 calories. For me, I have found eating 5 equal calorie clean meals throughout the day keeps me full and energetic. I hope you feling more energetic soon. I am sending you positive vibes!!

I just got over this. I had it for 22 months. Mine turned out to be a fungus. There were many steps I had to do and the time to cure it took just over 6 months. If you need me to share what all I had to do, just contact me.
The main thing that first helped me was a 14 day supply of Rx - Griseofulvan 500 mg 1Xday. (Also called Grifulvan) It can be hard on the kidneys...so I found out.
Then I had to do some research on my own to tweak out the rest. I feel for you more than you know...especially when you said you got 8 hours of rest and could still sleep. It was like I would have to take naps during the day to "reset" my brain. Do you have any sinus problems? I have a job that lets me come and go as I need but I feel very sorry for those that don't. BIG GIANT HUGS FOR YOU!
If you need me you can always find me in the Louisiana board.
