Pretty Bummed

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Well today after a three month tease by a job- including asking me to fill out pre-employment paperwork on Monday, I found out after I called them back that the job was filled! Pretty disappointed but my husband said the place sounds pretty screwed up so its probably best you didn't get the job. I kind of believe that too but I still really needed to be earning a paycheck again.
I kind of felt like eating but then I went to the store and loaded up on my veggies and fruit and some healthy bread.

For a positive I lost 4 pounds at WWs yesterday for a total of 16 since I started and physical activity is getting more comfortable and I still have all my SparkFriends for support. I can't tell you how much everyone's interest and messages mean.
I also will still be able to take my dad to a bunch of doctors appts this month.

Congrats on the 4 pounds! 16 pounds is wonderful! I have about 90 pounds to still lose....I have lost about 20 pounds...and what a difference it one notices but me lol...I think being so overweight I need to lose about 30 pounds before someone will ask me , " did you cut your hair?" YIKES....BUT my point is...I FEEL so much better....even knowing I am making good choices for myself makes me feel better ( in my head)....and yes even in my body....feeding it good foods makes it run better...

A little secret I have found that works for me and may work for you...when I get those urges to eat...I try and choose a protein ...a hard boiled egg, a cheese string...a slice of lean ham....I find something about the protein crushes the cravings...I have tried eating the veggies and FOR ME...I am still craving after eating 4 cups of raw veggies...the other interesting tip I have that is critical for me...IS TRACKING everything I eat...this is how I realized the protein snack helped...if I stop tracking I slip...I have shared my food tracker so take a look if you want for some ideas...

Hang in there girly we can get this done and YOU will get back to work... the right job for you is not ready yet but it will be soon! emoticon

Good luck with the job search, and good job on the weight loss.

If you had gotten the job, you wouldn't be able to be there for your dad. I know how it is, though, as I lost my 'real' job two years ago & am just doing freelance stuff plus a low-paying part-time job (which is all I've been able to find). It always seems like the freelance stuff dries up right when I need the time for something else really, really important. (Would be nice to pay all the bills all the time, though.) Good luck with your job search.
