I need a rest!!

Tuesday was a "domestic goddess" day for me! I made two of my all-time favorite comfort foods, just like Mamma used to make.

It was such fun...and I now have several small containers in my freezer with single-size meals for me for those days when I either don't feel like making anything or just don't feel like grocery shopping for a while.

I made a large pot of My beef and barley soup and a crockpot full of carrot pudding, which is stew meat, carrots, potatoes & sweet potatoes steeped in brown sugar.

Of course, yesterday (Wednesday), I gorged for lunch and dinner. I enjoy those things so much that I just don't know when to stop, so I probably over-ate a bit, but it was good and it was WORTH IT!

So, today, I'm just going to take it easy....my cooking is behind me again for a few days and I'm happy and enjoying the memories.

Beef barley soup homemade is one of my favorites, haven't made any this winter yet---now I'm hungry for some. Guess I will need to pick up the ingreds. on my next market day.
