Ok, so I am working on day 4 of this cold and it sucks! It started Sunday night with a sore throat. I can't help it, I'm not exactly lady like when it comes to football, and as a Ravens fan, there was lots to scream about. I just wrote it off as too much screaming. Then Monday it was a smidge worse, and Tuesday I was achy and sweating.
Add to that, I had borrowed a hedge trimmer from a friend, and was obsessing over the over grown juniper bushes. Now, lately I haven't been that great about my workouts. I have tried, but I've put on enough weight that running is just not good, and walking has been making me crazy. So I started to think about how I'd lost the weight the first time. I didn't start by running. I started by cleaning house, really well. I'm a go go go kind of girl so I like when I know I've gotten a workout AND shortened my chore list. It also helps at this point because I am impatient, and working out and not getting immediate results is difficult, so at least this way, I have a clean house, or a nicer yard. Which appeases my instant gratification demon. :) So, Tuesday I went out, and started hacking away. When I came back in a few hours later, I was literally drenched in sweat (not a pretty sight), and I had made a dent in the over grown shrubs. I also had a "limber"? It was dull and it occurred to me, well I sharpen my knives in the kitchen, I wonder if that tool would work for the limber. Sure enough!! Woo hoo, go me! So today will be my third day of hacking away, coming inside, and sitting down to be sure I don't pass out, landing on something sharp, and bleeding to death in the yard. I just wish I wasn't so sick. It also sucks my energy, so I'm sick and tired, of being sick, and tired. Oh well, gonna go hack bushes again today. Hope everyone has a great day!
