(Please excuse me while I think "aloud," so to speak. Writing my plans makes them feel official to me.)
Obviously, the main plan is to relax and have a great time, but honestly I feel better being active and eating lightly. DP agrees.
Our hotel room has a fridge & microwave, so we will buy fruit and yogurt for breakfasts --also some vegetables, which are scarce in restaurant meals here, so we'll supplement. We have our ultra-thin yoga mats that fit in our carry-ons. We walk the length of the beach at least once a day & walk into the town for lunch and sometimes dinner. The hotel has a small fitness room, too--it's worth having a look.
We'll buy multiple cases of bottled water.
We'll go to the kioskos for oysters on the half shell as our first course before lunch every day & at random times between, too. The kioskos also sell empanadillas, which DP loves, but I'm going to moderate my intake. Fried stuff doesn't agree with me.
And then there's the bars. They're cheap and fun and it is tempting to overdo it. DP says we should drink what we usually drink--don't order tropical sugar-bomb multi-alcohol drinks, because we'll just make ourselves sick. I think he's right. And moderation, of course. The bars all sell bottled water, so one glass of wine, one bottle of water--easier on the body and brain.
Fifteen days till we go.
