Stay away from the slippery slope called TOMORROW!

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I am on a streak and it feels good! I just started using the Body Media device. I have to say it has been a very good way to hold myself accountable, which has been a major problem for me.
I have stayed between my calorie limit for 4 days in a row. Usually I make for 2 and then the third day I start negotiating with myself. I have a little of this or a little of that and of course I stop counting because I dont like the answer. I then proceed to slide down the slippery sloop of TOMORROW. The problem is tomorrow can be a week, a month or years later. Yesterday after 3 successful days in a row I saw myself trying to barter for TOMORROW. The difference was I did not allow that to happen. I told myself 'eat what ever you want but you are writing it down' and I did. Then I told myself, 'after your dinner at 5:30 pm' you are done eating for the night. You had all your calories & points and did not feel like doing the second work out or even going for a walk. So I took I soaked in the tub because I was pretty sore.

I got up this morning and weighed in and lost again! YEAH me..that felt way better than slide down the slipper slope of Tomorrow. I am going to work on turning my Tomorrows into climbing a hill with a pot of gold at the top in stead of sliding down the to bottom.
