Push That Tush -- A Mental ReBoot

Okay...so I have been on this journey a while,
I've had more than one or two MOTIVATION SLUMPS.
{...my plateaus are caused more by a lull in determination
than a slow down in metabolism...}.

Let's face it...I feel like a MANIC/DEPRESSIVE dieter.
When I'm UP....I want to put everything I've got into exercising and
really sticking to my healthy eating and portion control.
When I get LAZY...I let things slip all over the place...
I exercise once in a while, I eat a few more snacks than I should, and
portions mysteriously get a little bit bigger.
I lose my DRIVE...and I start to stall out on the effort.
I end up parked on a plateau.



That's when I really need a JUMPSTART
Something to really BOOST THE EFFORT...
Go BOOTCAMP on the motivation to get some real results.
Spark my ATTITUDE.



That's where joining and really PARTICIPATING...in a CHALLENGE
is so valuable. I need to commit to 8 weeks of focused effort so that I can reach a milestone and truly feel significant progress.
And sometimes 8 weeks is enough time to form a new a habit.



Join a CHALLENGE
Applying 8 weeks towards trying to lose 5% of your weight.
It requires personal commitment, accountability, and drive.
It's 8 weeks of being determined to make things happen...
8 weeks of really doing what you know you NEED to do, to get things done.
8 weeks to focus on Pushing Your Tush ...
8 weeks that can change the rest of your life.

    Awesome perspective and Blog! I am considering what I can commit to NOW re: movement. On the Ideal Protein Program we are cautioned not to over exert with exercise so I may not be able to do a specific challenge per se but I can start a spark streak over an 8 week period where I commit to taking the 3 flight of stairs to and from my condo daily. I think that is do-able. I'll post my streak when I make my plan. Thanks for the motivation! I wish you ALL SUCCESS & JOY - Bliss!

    YES! We can do this! I hope we get assigned to the same team, but even if we don't, we will be cheerleaders for each other! I may not make 5% - that would be 10-1/2 pounds in 8 weeks, but it is achievable, and I am going to do my best!!! Let's DO it!!

    You hit the nail on the head with me. I have worked on managing my weight for over 20 years. A manic/depressive dieter is an excellent description of me!!!

I joined my first challenge on SP right before the holidays that takes me through mardi gras next week. I maintained my weight through the holidays for the first time in, oh I don't know, EVER!

I highly recommend challenges! And subscribing to your blogs!
