Yesterday was a very busy but productive day for me. I enjoyed my work day, it was busy and I reconciled my numbers with corporate so that makes me feel like I accomplished something. I enjoy the accounting field because I get to see things from start to finish. I know I'm just a small cog in the big wheel, but seeing results is important to me!
I'm excited to be taking a day off from work tomorrow. I have big plans, cleaning the house, really cleaning, not just surface stuff. I have my little granddaughter a lot on the weekends, and it's hard to do that deep cleaning stuff when she's around. She loves to help, but at 2.5 years old, her help isn't the kind I need in this situation!
I am determined to take my time back from the internet game monster. This morning I got a reminder on my phone telling me that one of my bingo games missed me. Good gravy, what will they think of next. Wouldn't it be nice if SparkPeople, Weight Watchers and the other healthy lifestyle sites sent reminders like that? I know I get a reminder from WW asking if I logged my breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack. I sure wish it could do the rest of the work for me, wish it would say, hey don't worry about taking that walk, I did it for you (and you still get the benefits from it!). I'm sure most of us would take the easy way out if we could, in fact a lot of people do. It's those of us who can see through those smoke and mirrors that are successful in this healthy lifestyle, knowing that we are the only ones who can do this for ourselves, no one else can.
Be proud of the actions that you take for your health! Take those actions because you know that you are important!

Goals for today:
~ 80 oz water
~ 10,000 steps
~ 15 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ Acupuncture at 2
~ journal every bite
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and snack
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
