So much in my life has changed. We moved out of the city into the desert. I just had an addition to my family: my first granddaughter. Now each day includes chopping and carrying wood, digging in the yard, hiking in the desert, and exploring our new home. We now have an electric stove instead of gas, no washer or dryer, and a clothesline. The first 3 months were sheer culture shock. The beauty of the area is astounding. There are quail and roadrunners and chipmunks in our yard. It's like a whole new life.
