A goal reached...

Wednesday, February 06, 2013

I got in my 30 minutes on the treadmill at the gym today, plus a little extra. Now I am feeling brain dead. I forgot to tell a funny little story from yesterday. Cooper and I were out walking in the afternoon when a friend drove by us. He stopped to talk to us, which was funny, because he drives a school bus (it was empty at the time), and Cooper hopped on board. Now Cooper usually barks at school buses. They hiss, and he barks at anything that hisses, including cats and tractor trailers, but once the door was open he wanted to get on. Silly puppy!

I need to take it easy tomorrow. I plan on another gym workout on Friday, so I need to restrain myself tomorrow, so I have the gumption to do it. I am definitely taking two rest days over the weekend. For some reason I have been especially tired this week. My neighbor suggested a multivitamin. I think just scaling back on the fitness a little might do the trick though. It is just that working out makes me feel good, so I want to keep pushing myself. What a conundrum!

I reached the Pacific Ocean today on my Walk Across America map. Actually, I am off shore a ways. I started out from Virginia less than 2 years ago, so it took me about 16 months to walk/run/cycle across the country. That is not too bad. I think my next trip will take even less time.

Congrats! That sounds like a really good way to stay motivated. I think I may give it a try. Is there a "Walk across Canada" map as well?

Great idea to walk across America. On one of my teams, several of us have been climbing a list of mountains. Looks like that's the only way I'll ever do that! emoticon

You might want to try some extra Vit. D as it does help with fatigue.

That is great. Keep it up. When you feel sore just work out the next day. It is going to feel like that for a while but feeling you will get when those pounds come off it will be worth the pain. emoticon
