Winter 2013 5% Challenge Assignment #1

Well, I need to get my tushie moving in the right direction. I was tossing ideas for a blog around in my head when I realized that I had forgotten to start my assignments for the upcoming Winter 5% challenge. I've been doing these for a while - with mixed results. I've lost weight in all but the last 2 (I think this is #7 for me). The first one I did was my most successful. I lost the full 5% I was hoping to lose. I'll be the challenge leader for the wonderful Teddy Bear team again. I think I'm doing okay and learning how to balance my needs along with the needs of the team. It's definitely a learning experience. That being said, here's my commitment to the 5% challenge...

I commit to be the best leader and participant I can be. I commit to daily cardio exercise and strength training at least 4 times per week. I also commit to write a daily blog, track and post my fitness minutes and track my food. I will update the team totals daily and read and comment on team member's blogs as I am able. I will weigh in weekly and post my weight to the challenge thread. I also promise to try not to dive myself completely nuts and will do my best each day.

I'm ready to start and most certainly ready to be 5% lighter! Feel free to join me along the way. I'll probably throw out a few personal challenges along the way. Sort of like some of the monthly 3000 or 1500 ones I did with some of my other friends a few months back. I want to make this a great 8 weeks!
