Oops, already Wednesday - it's been a busy week.

Last weekend I did two rather unconventional hikes. We hiked off trail both days.

Saturday's hike was on an old trail, abandoned in the 50s, which we discovered a couple of weeks ago.
Quite rugged...


... and a little bit overgrown :)


Sunday's hike took us to a beautiful waterfall - no trail. We just followed the stream.

We all came away a little bit battered looking :) My many bruises have started to heal... It was worth every step, every slip, and every scary moment.

This coming weekend we'll stay on the trails...
