spring fever already

Wednesday, February 06, 2013

we'll my birthday cake has put on a couple pounds so I need to crack the whip and get back to watching what I eat and get some exercise in. while the baby was sick I wasent able to get on the treadmil. But today she was doing a lot better she is eatting and happier then she was playing more. I didnt have to give her a breathing treatment today so hopefully we can keep everyone well for awhile.
Got a bunch of cleaning done this morning but didnt get a lot of time to play with my new nook. I got a nook hd + for my birthday I mostly wanted it for work to play on and read books. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some more stuff loaded on it and get downstairs to run on the treadmil. I can not wait for spring I really want to get outside and do some gardening. we have 5 achers that need tended to . Right now most of it is overgrown with weeds . I want to get in there and clear it out before spring sets and it starts to grown. right now its dead and easier to get rid of . Plus the snakes are deep underground so i dont have to worry about running into them :) My poor flowers are trying to come up, tulips, dafadills and iris im worried the frost will get them. normally i will cover them with a bunch of leaves but I dont have anythis year to cover them with. so we shall see what happends.

We have warm weather coming in but it's so muddy that it's hard to work out in the yard. Keep Sparkin'!!

Don't worry about the tulips, daffodils, or iris. They'll take care of themselves. Last year we had a warm February and then it snowed in March. The flower did fine. They kind of bowed their heads until the snow melted then perked right up.

Yesterday I was taking my normal walk and looked at the blackberry that has taken over our fence line. I thought "gee, now's the time to attack it while it's still dormant and leafless". Tomorrow is supposed to be dry, so I guess I've got my work assignment.

Good luck on your garden.

Margaret
