The more I think about it, the less certain I am that I want to go to medical school. The costs are just too expensive - and something I don't have - and it would be another 9-10 years before I could even get a job.
I know this sounds like I'm giving up...which is why I think it'll be difficult to explain it to everyone in my life. But it's something I've considered extensively! Physician assisting school looks promising, as I could still work with children and in a medical setting, but with less money/schooling.
However, the other option is slightly more out of left field - grad school for nutrition or kinesiology. I've always had an interest in these subjects (no kidding, I'm in a pre-med program right now) but especially with using this site, it has made me more interested in exercise and health and foods. I really just want to help people take better care of themselves. I just need to find out the best way to do that.
