Healthy Living Group: Week 2

Tonight is week 2 of the Healthy Living God's Way group that I am leading at church. We are reading Joyce Meyer's book: "Look Great, Feel Great." Last week we talked about the importance of tracking and their homework was to track all of their food for the week. Tonight's focus is how to eat healthy on a budget! That was one of the "complaints" that kept popping up last week when we were talking: healthy foods are too expensive. So I am on a "Mission to prove them wrong" lol emoticon . I printed off a few articles from about buying affordable healthy foods. I'm also going to talk about foods that we buy, and where to find some good deals (for example: Big Lots has been carrying a lot of organic foods, as well as Aldi!)

    What a great class and idea! I am on a budget and buy mostly organic but I think I could still do better budgeting and cooking. I feel like I don't buy much but I wouldn't trade buying cheap/unhealthy foods just to get more volume. I would really like to know more about what you're doing! Let us know what recipes/ideas you come up with. emoticon

    Sounds like a great class that you have planned Erin. I am always looking for ways to serve healthy foods on a budget for my large family. It can be a challenge. I will take a look at the site that you listed in your blog today.
