SKIP THE MEDIOCRE!
I just read in the NY Times about how a chef lost 55 pounds. His diet psychologist advised him to "get off the food-stamp diet" and consume ONLY that which he really loved. So don't even TASTE the stuff that isn't the best (in YOUR opinion). LOVE your food! Eat what you LOVE! And DON'T eat that second rate stuff!
(Yes, I know it takes time. Yes I know it isn't easy. Yes, I KNOW you love sugar and carbs {just think of them as poison!}. But you ALSO LOVE good healthy food! )
And the point is to NOT FIND EXCUSES!
